The seven episodes of Season 4 Volume 1 that released on May 27 were appreciated by Netflix viewers. Each episode was simultaneously exhilarating, humorous, heartwarming, and spooky. The fans will also be able to experience Volume 2 starting today, July 1.
So, will Season 5 be released?
Okay, okay. Netflix and the Duffer Brothers made an announcement regarding Season 5 in February of this year. Recently, the Duffer Brothers have even hinted at potential plot details for the next instalment. According to them, there may be a time leap and more information will be revealed regarding the Upside Down’s beginning, background, and legend.
The disappointing news is that Season 5 will be the show’s final season, according to the makers. Indications have been made that spinoffs could be possible, so this won’t be the end after all. Season 5 has not yet begun production, however based on forecasts, it will probably premiere around 2024. The release date has not yet been announced by Netflix.
Season 4 filming began in January 2020 but was put on hold in March owing to Covid-19. Even though filming resumed again up in September of the same year, we weren’t able to watch it until May 2022. The Duffer brothers believe that the procedure was uncommon and that it won’t happen again.
